BOZEMAN, Mont. — A huge outfitting store on the edge of this mountain-ringed town should be a conservative bastion: The ranchers and farmers who come to shop tend to be reliable Republicans.

Gov. Brian Schweitzer announced yesterday that he would be launching a statewide effort to pass an initiative cleaning up the scourge of lobbying by former elected officials. Click here for the story.

The State President serves as chief executive officer and official voice of the Big Sky Democrats. The President also presides over all meetings, helps make financial decisions, and appoints chairs to standing committees.
