Today's Washington Post has a column suggesting that George Clooney should play Casino Jack Abramoff in a movie about what could be the biggest scandal to hit Washington since Watergate.
My question is this: who would play Conrad Burns?
Taking suggestions.
for this article. In it, he takes Racicot to task for his stubborn stance on de-reg.
The headlines:
Billings Gazette: "Racicot amazingly unapologetic about utility deregulation"
Helena IR: "Racicot's revisionist history on utility deregulation"
Missoulian: "Racicot rewrites utility history"
P.S. This, Walt Williams, is how to write a story!!

If you haven't already, you should check out The Senate Majority Project.
They've got a great Rehberg post today talking about his connections to Abramoff and his merry band of goons.
If you missed the Lateshow last night, you missed a little glimmer of the old Dave shining through.
Letterman engaged his guest Bill O'Reilly on a number of points, including taking the Christ out of Christmas, Cindy Shehan and the Bush administration's intelligence failure.
After telling the "news journalist" that about 60% of what came out of his mouth was "crap", Dave ended the interview with "Bill, it's always a pleasure."
You can see the whole thing here. Take a look, its worth it. O'Reilly looks off his game and a little drunk.

Montana Sen. Conrad Burns on Tuesday pledged to cooperate with the Justice Department as lobbyist Jack Abramoff reached a plea deal that could implicate a number of lawmakers in an influence-peddling probe.
Damn. This thing is getting juicier by the day...
Politicos in Montana and across the country - on both sides of the aisle - are waiting anxiously to hear about a potential plea agreement involving indicted lobbyist and power peddler Jack Abramoff.
The question on the minds of Montana Democrats, reporters, and others: how in trouble is Conrad Burns. Did he take a bribe? Did he or his staff trade campaign contributions for votes or other favors? Bets are being placed as we speak as to whether or not Burns will be indicted.
Several national media outlets have reported that Tuesday is the day that will likely bring news on the Abramoff front. As "Casino Jack" gets ready to sing, you know some people (Burns)on the Hill are panicked...I guess we’ll know soon enough.
For those who don’t know, former Gov. Mark Racicot is spending his holiday in Montana. But the reason for his trip is not to spend time with family, but traveling the state with Chuck Butler (former Martz Communications Director and GOP employee) on a media tour. The Montana GOP E-Brief claims he’s using the time stumping for Judge Samuel Alito for US Supreme Court. However, those of you in Helena will know that this morning, on KBLL’s Coffee Break, Racicot mentioned Alito only once and spent most of the time talking about himself. more...
Chris Cillizza of the Washington Post writes up Burns' slipping and sliding to below 50 today...Merry Christmas, Conrad.
From all of us at Big Sky Democrats, happy holidays to you and yours. Here's to Democratic victories in 2006!
